On Wednesday 14th October 2026, the Consultation on the Terms of Reference for Academic Supervision of State Universities over Private Higher Education Institutions of Learning (PHEIs) was held under the auspices of the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders in the Cameroon University’s Network and Digital Development Supervision Center.<\/p>\n\n\n
The event was attended by Vice-Chancellors\/Rectors of State Universities, representatives from Private Higher Education Institutions, members of Catholic University Institutes’ platform, the Protestant, Adventist and Evangelical Universities, and officials from the Ministry of Higher Education.<\/p>\n
At the end of the exercise, the following resolutions were adopted by the parties involved:
* 1- With regards to the administrative perspective, there shall be simplified procedure of the partnership agreement between the State Universities and Private Higher Education Institutions of Learning.<\/p>\n
* 2- On the academic point of view, the strict mentoring of the number of students enrolled under these partnership will ensure a sound evaluation process that will lead to certifications.<\/p>\n
* 3- On the financial stand point, the agreed sharing of the financial cost induced by academic supervision was arrived at by both State Universities and Private Higher Education Institutions of Learning.<\/p>\n
