University Co-operation : Cameroon and the UK are Hand in Glove

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Jacques FAME NDONGO, granted an audience to the United Kingdom High Commissioner to Cameroon, H.E. Mr. Matt David WOODS, on the morning of Wednesday 9 April 2025. The meeting took place in conference room 1036 of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Having welcomed his guest to Cameroon, the Minister of State praised the excellent quality of diplomatic relations between the two countries. As regards higher education, this co-operation, which dates back more than sixty years, is underpinned by the Cultural Co-operation Agreement signed on 8 August 1963 in London between Cameroon and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
During this audience, the Chancellor of the Academic Orders presented to the British diplomat the revolution underway in Cameroon’s university map, as well as the new orientation aimed at bringing university and the business world.

Académie des Sciences du Cameroun : Le Pr Jacques FAME NDONGO compte parmi les membres  

La cérémonie d’adoubement des nouveaux membres de l’Académie des Sciences du Cameroun (CAS) s’est tenue ce mercredi 9 avril 2025, dans la salle de conférences du Ministère de la Recherche Scientifique et de l’Innovation, sous la présidence du Pr Beban Sammy, Président de la CAS, en présence de nombreux membres de cette illustre institution.
La solennité de cet événement a offert aux douze nouveaux membres l’opportunité de présenter, de manière synthétique, la quintessence de leurs travaux de recherche, conformément à la tradition académique.
Dans la dynamique des civilités heuristiques, l’Académie des Sciences du Cameroun a réservé un accueil chaleureux au Pr Jacques FAME NDONGO, ainsi qu’aux autres membres. En retour, ceux-ci se sont engagés à respecter scrupuleusement les statuts de l’Académie et à poursuivre, avec dévouement, leurs recherches au service du progrès scientifique.

Cameroon Academy of Sciences : Prof Jacques FAME NDONGO is now a Fellow

The induction ceremony for the new fellows of the Cameroon Academy of Sciences (CAS) took place on Wednesday 9 April 2025 in the conference room of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation, under the chairmanship of Professor BEBAN Sammy, President of the CAS. Many members of this renowned institution attended the event.
The solemnity of this event gave the twelve new members the opportunity to present, in summary form, the essence of their research work, in accordance with academic tradition.
In the spirit of heuristic civility, the Cameroon Academy of Sciences extended a warm welcome to Prof Jacques FAME NDONGO and the other members. In return, they undertook to scrupulously abide by the Academy’s statutes and to pursue, with dedication, their research in the service of scientific progress.
The Cameroon Academy of Sciences (CAS) was founded in 1990 to promote high-level scientific research and technological training. This august body also advises national and international decision-makers on major issues relating to science and technology in the service of humanity, while working to bolster the links between scientific research and the productive sectors of the national economy.
The new fellows are expected to make a constant and significant contribution to raising science to the status of a major instrument for human flourishing.

Coopération universitaire : Le Cameroun et la Grande-Bretagne s’accordent

Dans la matinée du mercredi 9 avril 2025, le Ministre d’État, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur, le Pr Jacques FAME NDONGO, a accordé une audience au Haut-Commissaire du Royaume-Uni au Cameroun, S.E. Matt David WOODS. La salle de conférences 1036 du Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur a servi de cadre à cette rencontre.
Après avoir souhaité la bienvenue à son hôte en terre camerounaise, le Ministre d’État a salué l’excellente qualité des relations diplomatiques entre les deux pays. Dans le domaine de l’enseignement supérieur, cette coopération, vieille de plus de soixante ans, est encadrée par l’Accord de coopération culturelle signé le 8 août 1963 à Londres entre les gouvernements du Cameroun et du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande du Nord.
Au cours de cette audience, le Chancelier des Ordres Académiques a présenté au diplomate britannique la révolution en cours dans la carte universitaire camerounaise ainsi que la nouvelle orientation axée sur le rapprochement Université-Entreprise.
