Press release granting authorization for the opening of selections for doctoral stuies in State Universities

Following the Very High Instructions of His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic, Head of State, of November 6, 2025, concerning the revival of doctoral programs in State Universities, and in accordance with the Very High Presidential Directives conveyed to the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, by correspondence No. B1109/b/SG/PR from the Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, of November 28, 2025; the public and the academic community are hereby informed that the President of the Republic has granted his Very High Approval for the resumption of admissions into doctoral studies within State Universities.
This Very High Approval authorizes « the selection, by MINESUP, of six hundred (600) candidates for doctoral studies in all State Universities for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Without prejudice to the regulations in force, and within the framework of implementing these Very High Presidential Instructions, the rules to be followed, the quotas per University, as well as the timetable and procedure to be respected are as follows:  Download the press release
