PRESS RELEASE

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders, Professor Jacques FAME NDONGO, received in audience on April 1, 2026, in the conference room of the Ministry of Higher Education, a delegation from the National Association of Private Higher Education Institutions (NAPHEI).

* Dr. Mrs Francisca BIAKA, elected National President of ANIPES, and Mr. Gabriel DJANKOU, National Executive Secretary, accompanied by a team of 21 officials;

* The Honorable WANTOU SIANTOU Lucien, elected Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The new leadership took this opportunity to present to the Minister of State the major projects of ANIPES. These projects aim to promote and develop University entrepreneurship, as enshrined in the Higher Education Policy of July 25, 2023, notably:

1. The project to create a Microfinance institution initiated by NAPHEI;

2. The opening of a dedicated counter for this Microfinance on April 2, 2026, at the CCA Bank;

3. The establishment of a guarantee deposit at CCA Bank by NAPHEI members no later than April 30, 2026;

4. The financing of the first projects of student entrepreneurs starting September 1, 2026, following the selection and incubation phases beginning April 2, 2026.

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, praised this commendable and relevant initiative and urged NAPHEI to act swiftly so that the financing mechanism for student entrepreneurial projects becomes operational as soon as possible. He recalled that these NAPHEI projects align with the vision of His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic, Head of State, who places youth and women at the heart of public policies in the current mandate.

In conclusion, the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education reassured NAPHEI of his unwavering support for the success of its noble missions, which are in line with the Highest Directives of the Head of State for the development of the concept of University-Enterprise in Cameroon.
